Trek Medical Safety Program
Ensuring the health and safety of all participants during our upcoming Pioneer Trek is our top priority. We have established a comprehensive medical program to address any health concerns that may arise during the event.
Qualified Medical Personnel
Our medical team consists of licensed healthcare professionals, including medical doctors and registered nurses. These individuals are trained to monitor participants’ well-being and respond to potential injuries or illnesses.

Medical Training and Preparedness
Prior to the trek, our medical team will conduct training sessions for adult and youth leaders. These sessions will focus on recognizing signs of dehydration, heat-related illnesses, and other common trail concerns. Leaders will be equipped with knowledge to ensure prompt and appropriate responses to any health issues.
Emergency Protocols
In the event of a medical emergency, our team is prepared with established protocols to provide immediate care and, if necessary, facilitate transportation to the nearest medical facility. Emergency communication systems will be in place to ensure swift coordination with external medical services.
Participant Responsibilities
Medications needed by youth will be self administered but can be assisted if needed (contact Robin Ebmeyer). We encourage all participants to communicate any health concerns to their family leaders or medical staff promptly. Staying hydrated, wearing appropriate clothing, and adhering to safety guidelines are crucial steps each participant can take to contribute to a safe and enjoyable trek experience.
By implementing these measures, we aim to provide a secure environment that allows everyone to focus on the spiritual and communal aspects of the trek.
