Support Our Youth: Pioneer Trek Fundraiser

This summer, from June 11–14, 2025, the youth of our stake have the unique opportunity to participate in a Pioneer Trek at Martin’s Cove, Wyoming. This journey to hallowed ground is designed to help our youth feel the Spirit and strengthen their testimonies.

Why We Need Your Support

Since our last trek, costs have risen significantly. To ensure that all interested youth can participate without financial burden, we invite stake members who feel inclined to contribute to this meaningful event. Regardless of which method of donation you choose, please be sure to add “Trek” into the comment or notes section to indicate you would like to allocate your contribution to the 2025 Trek.

How to Donate

  • Venmo: Scan the QR code below or click here to donate via Venmo.
  • Tithing Slips: Write “Trek” in the “Other” category on your tithing slip.

Fund Management

We are committed to transparency and proper use of funds:

  • Authorization: Both the youth activity and this fundraiser have been approved by leadership in Salt Lake City.
  • Venmo Account: Donations via Venmo will be processed through Brother John Borget’s account, a member of the Stake High Council and our Audit Committee Chair.
  • Fund Allocation: Donated funds will be transferred weekly to stake accounts using a two-person accounting system. Any surplus will be reserved for future youth activities.
  • Tax Information: Please note that Venmo donations will not appear on your annual Church donation history.

Join us for a fireside on March 23 at 7:00 pm at the Stake Center to learn more about the trek. Rick and Kristen Jorgensen, our Stake Trek Leaders, will provide details, followed by remarks from Brother Brad Wilcox, First Counselor in the Young Men General Presidency and a member of the 9th Ward.

Participant Registration

We request each participating youth to register and pay a fee similar to that of FSY. Bishops are prepared to support youth for whom this may be a concern.
